30 Weeks and a Babymoon

Mommy and Daddy got away for our very first trip on our own since your sister was born.  Since your arrival is just around the corner, our little trip is known as a "babymoon."  We drove over to Branson, Missouri for a three-day weekend.  While we were there, you hit the 30 week mark!  That means you are only 10 weeks away.  :o)
While we were in Branson, Mommy and Daddy took advantage of the surroundings and went spelunking in Talking Rocks Cave.  With you weighing my belly down, the stairs were a lot harder than normal!
Since the skies were blue and we were in the Ozarks, we also went on a short hike.  We couldn't pass up the opportunity to get away from the busy world for a little while.
Daddy was showing off his muscles at the pancake rocks, one of the cool sites on our hike.
We also climbed up a lookout tower to check out the view.  Though the trees were still bare, it was wonderful to look out over such beauty.  Can't wait to look down on your beauty in 10 short weeks!
When we weren't hiking or spelunking, we were busy shopping for you and Ellie.  You were a great excuse to get Daddy into the Build-A-Bear Workshop, the Disney Store, Carter's, Gymborie, and Osh Kosh B'Gosh stores.  I think he actually enjoyed it!  Having girls has definitely changed him.  I can't wait for you two to meet face-to-face.  :o)

A Nursery In Progress

It's taken a while, but we have cleaned out a room and are now filling it with lots of colorful baby things just for you!  Your daddy spent his Sunday putting together your crib.  Mommy was going to do it, but he insisted that he wanted to build it for his new little girl.

Once Daddy had it finished, Mommy was so excited to put the finishing touches on it.  The walls are still bare, but it's a start!  Nemo and friends are ready to welcome you home.  :o)

Midnight Hiccups

You got your first batch of hiccups last night!  It woke Mommy up, but I didn't mind.  I just smiled and enjoyed the rhythmic little bumps in my belly until they slowly went away.  That means that your lungs are healthy and that you're growing well in there.  Keep up the good work Little One!  Only 11 more weeks until we meet face to face.  :o)

7 Months and Counting

I can't believe 7 months have already flown by while you are cooking in there, Little 2.0.  Although I don't feel like I'm getting bigger, Ellie is having more difficulty sitting on my lap these days.  By the end of the day my back is telling me that you're getting big in there too.
I'm just trying to enjoy the moments that you kick around and stretch so much that we can see it on the outside.  I will miss it when that feeling's gone.  I'm also spending most of my spare time getting ready for you.  Take your time in there, because there's a lot left to do!
